About the artist
Magnus Holmes is a documentary photographer specializing in portraiture. He grew up in Portland Oregon, where he became fascinated with human connectivity and bonds at a young age. These two interests drive his free and personal photography work, which works to examine the relationships people and objects form. His aesthetic tends to acknowledge the subtle emotions that appear between subject and photographer. The realization of this connection enables him to create rounded authentic images, and further convey the subject’s purpose. In 2018 he started a project entitled Roommates. He currently attends Portland State University, where he studies photography and sociology.
