About the artist
Stéphane Bienfait, born in 1968, presents art photography blending the pictorial universe with social reality. The ambiguity created calls to mind and questions meaning through paradoxical juxtapositions. The resulting work intertwines Renaissance, Romanticism and the contemporary world. The bodies are assembled around obsolete values, in harmony for a fleeting instant within a sensual space devoid however of any sexuality.

About the model
Elsa, 27 years old, has a defiant and athletic soul concealed beneath a frail appearance and childlike features. Posing for a dozen or so years, she has worked with over a hundred amateur and professional photographers in Europe and in the United States. Between intimate portraits and nudes, her favourite domain extends to photography series, where narrative skits welcome individual interpretation.
